Surface America features the most complete line of rubber playground surfacing systems in the world.
IPEMA-Certified & ADA-Compliant
Surface America playground surfacing systems meet critical fall heights up to 13 feet per ASTM F-1292, which is the industry’s standard test to evaluate a surfacing system’s ability to absorb shock. They also conform to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and ASTM F-1951 Determination of Playground Surface Accessibility.
Poured in place surfacing
A safe playground surface that’s where you need it, when you need it.
PlayBound™ Poured-in-Place is a 2-layer system consisting of a basemat of 100% post-consumer recycled SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) and polyurethane and a top surface consisting of recycled post-industrial EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber and polyurethane. Surface America uses an industry-leading percentage of material in its top surface, significantly increasing the surface’s expected life.
Easily customized to meet the safety, design and aesthetic requirements of any playground.
Because the rubber and urethane components are mixed and applied on site, having school colors, logos, games and/or geometric shapes permanently incorporated into the surface are practical options. Thicknesses can be modified on site to meet varying critical fall heights within playgrounds, and colors can be mixed and varied to complement playground equipment and playground settings.
Used in play areas where critical fall heights are not required.
EverTop™ is the top surface layer of the PlayBound™ Poured-in-Place system consisting of recycled post-industrial EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber and polyurethane. It is commonly used in play areas without equipment, as well as in portions of playgrounds outside the equipment’s use zone. This achieves aesthetic consistency at a lower cost.
Easily customized to complement playground settings or high-traffic areas.
Because the rubber and urethane components are mixed and applied on site, having school colors, logos, games and/or geometric shapes permanently incorporated into the surface are easily accomplished.
When used with aliphatic urethane binder, EverTop comes with a 10-year warranty. When used with aromatic urethane binder, EverTop comes with a 7-year warranty.
The look of beautiful natural grass with minimal maintenance and world-class toughness.
PlayBound™ TurfTop™ compliments a park setting or green environment nicely. It resists wear and tear from heavy foot traffic so it looks like perfectly-groomed grass all the time. It allows a free flow of water, enabling the playground to be used immediately following heavy rain. It’s extremely durable, so you can expect a long life.
An ADA-compliant grass surface with no dish-out areas around equipment.
The resilient basemat provides great shock absorption at areas needed most, and doesn’t dish out at swings and sliding boards. Wheelchairs and walking aids can negotiate the playground without difficulty, thus conforming to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and ASTM F-1951 Determination of Playground Surface Accessibility.
The world’s toughest wear layer on a playground safety tile.
UltraTile® Play is specifically designed to reduce the risk of serious injury associated with falls from playground equipment. It features a proprietary manufacturing process where the 3 mm patented, pre-manufactured top wear layer – that is significantly higher in density than other tiles – is bonded to the resilient underlayment made of 100% post-consumer recycled SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) and polyurethane. The result is unmatched durability, and its expected life is more than 100% longer than other rubber playground tiles.
UltraTile Play is ideal for a wide range of play applications like ground-level playgrounds, rooftop play areas, patio play areas, daycare and after-school activity areas, fast-food restaurant play areas and shopping mall play areas.
